Suburban Identity Crisis Turned Modern Craftsman Revamp
date. Dec 2022
city. Minneapolis, MN
size. 6 bedroom 4 bathroom
This standard issue suburban single family home really needed a new identity. The clients bought the home with hopes of remodeling, yet 9 years and 2 kids later, they still hadn't figured out exactly WHAT to do. The home had classic Craftsman elements, but was very out of date and had been struggling to have a cohesive style within. DeAries Design helped the client build a vision for all 3 floors of the home, starting with a full basement makeover to enhance the space for maximum usability. The partially finished basement had less than desirable finishes from previous owners, carpet square floors and fluorescent lit drop ceiling are no homeowner's end game. DeAries designed a basement space with optimal traffic flow and usability for a family to entertain and enjoy every level of the home.
